Our Comment:
Of all the ACE inhibitors that are used for heart failure only enalapril is similarly well researched as captopril. Despite certain studies that shed a beneficial light on one or the other of the two drugs, I am not convinced that there is a substantial difference in practice. The more recent ACE inhibitors do not yet represent a real challenge for these substances that are documented by such an impressive amount of data.
