Our Comment:
One could say that diltiazem is verapamil's younger brother, in both good and bad. On the whole diltiazem appears to cause fewer side-effects than verapamil (and surely fewer than nifedipine or other dihydropyridines). However, our knowlegde on verapamil is more complete. It is therefore difficult to say whether there are more than details that differ the two drugs.
