Our Comment:
Doxycycline is a real broad spectrum antibiotic which nowadays is used mainly for dermatological, gynecological and urological indications as well as for special problems such as atypical pneumonias, brucellosis, cholera and multiresistant malaria. It certainly is the tetracycline of choice, a group of drugs that has presently lost some of its former significance. Very inexpensive prepaprations of doxycycline are available.
