| Hydroxocobalamin: Adverse Reactions

diarrhea, exanthema, pruritus, urticaria, pain at the site of injection.
At the beginning of the treatment of a severe pernicious anemia, a
hypokalemia may occur due to the increased potassium requirements for
the maturation of the red cells.
American literature reports the possibility of the formation of antibodies against the hydroxocobalamin-transcobalamin-II complex.
Hydroxocobalamin: Interactions
Nitrous oxydes (N2O) can chemically inactivate cobalamins; this can be significant if the patient with pernicious anemia undergoes repeated anesthesias.
