Our Comment:
The only fact that is clearly established is that piroxicam has a longer half-life than the other antirheumatic agents (exception: phenylbutazone). Otherwise, it is said that no relevant differences to the other anti-inflammatory agents are demonstrable. I use it, nevertheless, as I believe that piroxicam is slightly more efficient. However, since I also suspect that it is associated to higher risks I use it as cautiously as possible. Tenoxicam has similar properties but it is not as comprehensively documented.
