Depending on the indication and the general situation, peptic ulcers, osteoporosis, psychoses, infections, diabetes and hypertension can represent contraindications.

Prednisolone: Cautions

Because of the iatrogenic adrenal insufficiency, prednisolone, like other glucocorticoids, must be reduced gradually and discontinued if the therapy lasts longer than one week. Insulin-dependent diabetics may need increased insulin doses if they are treated with steroids.
